SYNOPSIS

The Shadows explores the lives and destinies of people of the past and the striking parallels between their experiences and those of people today. The human beings of yesterday and those of today are both burdened by heavy shadows that overlap and merge with one another. Based on real stories and documentary testimonies, the performance draws connections between contemporary lives and mythological figures through the journeys of three central characters. The production examines the struggles of individuals in relation to themselves and to the societies they inhabit, while confronting the devastating consequences of war, genocide, and migration, with a particular focus on the experiences and resilience of women.
