SYNOPSIS

This play tells the story of a group of young musicians who leave Iran, hoping to build a better life in America. However, a year into their migration, tensions within the band escalate to the point where one member shoots and kills the other three, before turning the gun on himself. From the Basement to the Roof is a poignant portrayal of a generation in search of happiness and fulfillment beyond their homeland, only to find themselves alienated no matter where they go, ultimately leading to a tragic and heartbreaking end.
