SYNOPSIS

In this play, three women recount the stories of their lives: one, after years of living in secrecy with a famous footballer, is sentenced to death for allegedly stabbing his wife to death; another, a professional mountaineer of ten years, falls to her death while descending from the summit of Gasherbrum II; and the third, the widow of a martyr, shares memories of her late husband, one of the bravest fighter pilots during the Iran-Iraq war. These three women’s lives intersect at various points in time and place. The term “acclimatization,” often used in professional mountaineering, serves as a metaphor for the lives of the characters, who are forced to start over repeatedly as they learn to cope with the challenges life throws at them.
